Writing Symphony #15 in Ireland!
by socialmateo

Greetings from the other side of the world. I’ve come here to Ireland to write symphony #15 “The Voice of Finnegan Farrell.” The story is based upon children finding their voices. Being half Irish/half Italian I found myself drawn here to see how friends these people really are… they really are…that friendly.

Now I have a firm story in place, some musical ideas I penned while hanging out playing the pianos in different pubs. (Just about every pub has a piano in it here) My goal is to build a musical palate that pays homage to this style of music without it feeling Titanically cliche. These people are truly musical and their music is truly inspired, emotional, fun, energetic, and unique. If I can translate this to the orchestra and still honor the small ensemble feel of their pub music, I feel we’ll have something very special.

Slainte!
Mateo
